Well - I thought this was going to be an out-of-box build while I was honing my airbrush skills on the Pe-2, but I couldn't escape a little detailing. I've decided to order some AFM gun barrels, and meanwhile have done a bunch of scratch building on the bomb bay doors (since they'll hang open) and some detailing of the engines. All I have to show today are the engines. I first added some spark plug wires, then added the "I'm not sure what" (shows you how much I know about engines...) using some spares-box components and some additional painted wire.

The fuselage is together and wings are next while I'm fixing fuse seems. More to come...
The move did slow me down substantially...for anything model-related.
It's on the bench - canopy already masked - waiting for me to get comfortable enough with the paint work on the Pe-2 that I can take the gun to it as well. Because my booth is in the garage, the planets of decent weather (at least 40 or above) and time enough to paint have to align for me to get to it! Meanwhile, I have 4 other projects in process (Tempest, RF-5E, Vindicator, and an FJ-1 Fury). The Fury I just started the cockpit for some photos I needed to take of a 50's navy pilot from PJ Productions, but since I've already done that I figure to just knock it out once I'm done with the others. I will probably just brush paint the Tempest, Tiger Eye, and Vindicator so I can keep moving despite the weather.
Did this one get completed or back-benched for the move?
Be sure to check the oil level in those radials.
