A couple of months ago Kurt lamented that he wanted to build another prop Luftwaffe build. I am not sure but I think the conversation went something like this," You know it has been a while since I did a prop Luftwaffe build. Maybe you should do one also, Paul." or something like this.
I really admire Kurt's skills and it amazes me how he does weathering like that. Well, anyway, I took him up on this vaguely veiled challenge. It took me a couple of months but after he and I batted back and fourth a couple of ideas that I settled on the 32 He-111 P from Pro Modeler. I attempted one of these before and I became really overwhelmed by all the parts and steps that it took to assemble this kit not to mention that I really hosed the paint scheme. So, Allen graciously took the old bird off of my hands.
That was a few years ago and I hope that my modeling skills have improved in that time. So far I have done some on the cockpit and I finished the busy end today. getting the rest of the bulkheads and what not all done will be the next step. Then Ill let it set for a while as I do some more sub assemblies. Maybe the wings or engine nacelles which if I remember correctly have a few fit issues all their own but I think I can get ahead of the game.
Looking good Paul. I will take the rap if you keep building as well as you do. Sure, blame it on me, I'm good with that.
Well, that's it for now
I must apologize for the poor pics.
