I'm calling this one Project M.I.L.F. (Model I'd Like to Finish)
I've been in a little bit of a modeling slump since SoonerCon, started a couple builds but nothing has really grabbed hold of me. I've had this B-29 for the better part of 15 years, looks like I started it during what I call my "Dark Ages of Modeling". I was young, ambitious, lacking talent and worst of all short on patience. Under the influence of sites like ARC and Hyperscale I managed to waste thousands of dollars of kits, paint and supplies between 2003-2008. This five years of carnage resulted in only one finished model, a Tamiya Beaufighter in 48th scale.
I've been wanting to build something "Greg Style" aka wheels up and in flight for a while and this kit really fits the bill as I've read its pretty hard to make it not be a tail-sitter. Since learning about the "Kee Bird" on an episode of Nova I've always been fascinated with it's story. I found a set of decals for it on eBay and they should be here in a week or so. In the mean I'll get to work undoing the damage I previously inflicted on this poor undeserving kit.

The episode of Nova for those who haven't seen it. It's a must watch!
Man - that will be one BIG model! Will it sport the red tail? Looking forward to seeing the progress.
