I have to set the T-38 trio to the side to build an E-2C model for the online IPMS review. Interesting enough, the markings go well with our contest theme "Japan". Nice to build something with a little bit of color other than just gray.

Dave, that is one gorgeous bird you have built. Glad I got to see it at the contest this weekend.

Yeah - I am getting very tired of the Detailer water based washes! Too fragile. I'm starting my search for something better... The E-3 looks great!

Nice job. Really looks good. Photos are well done also. I like it. What product did you use on your panel lines?

Replying to
Mostly Vallejo model wash and in a few spots "Soilworks" dark stains wash. Clean up with small amount of windex on a cotton swap and then a small amount of Novus #2 plastic polish to get the rest. Too much windex could damage the base coat. Also I added a coat of future floor was as a base before adding the washes.
The water based washes I used seem to gome off to easily so I switched about a year ago.

Done!
Well actually, done with kit props. The resin props that I ordered last month are still not in so hopefully they will be in and installed before the contest. I think the props come out of Russia.
