There were some great models & miniatures exhibited at this year's Historical Miniatures Society of NW Oklahoma show, held June 3, 2017 in Tulsa. I didn't stick around for the awards so I don't know who won the top awards, but here's a sampling of the entries.
This is Henry Plantagenet (King Henry II). Let me just say that the photo does not do it justice. The level of detail was incredible. As Allen said "Work like this scares me!"

This was entitled Blitzkrieg. The effect of all the tank riders, motorcyclist and horse soldier, all in that compact display, each with individual positions was stunning.

This is a scene from Gettysburg with Generals Hancock, Doubleday and Howard.

This one cracked me up... a monk with a string of fish over his shoulder, entitled the Fish Friar. Hah!

And the obligatory Pirate, of course.

And a no-less obligatory knight.

A Colonial Ranger...

And Indian warrior...

A pair of German tankers

And now a sampling of airplanes...
