OK, I have choices. These may be my top ones but I still may change my mind.
The C-130E has the Fulton recovery nose and will be in flight. Maybe scratch build the hoist and display recovering a downed personnel.
F-104C would be of a friends plane that flew in Vietnam, SEA camo
U-2 OOB

The U-2 all day long. I don't think there is subject that fits "Cold War" better than the U-2.
If you're looking for kibitzing I'll say the U-2.
